“What would you do today if there was no tomorrow?”
She looked at her daughter, into those eyes that couldn’t decide if they were blue or green, and as always she saw the face of someone who had quite clearly already lived many lifetimes.
“That’s a pretty deep question kiddo. I’d probably let you choose, because whatever I did I’d want it to be with you. What would you do?”
“Eat as much ice cream as possible.”
She raised an eyebrow. “Is this your way of asking for ice cream?”
A full-faced grin. Yep, she’d definitely done this before.
